Starting in 2026, tents will be allowed to have their bands play one hour longer each day. On weekdays, the first march can be played as early as 11:00 a.m., and on weekends as early as 10:00 a.m. This is intended to help spread out the flow of visitors. However, the change has so far apparently been met with skepticism among landlords. Since not all tents take full advantage of the new time slots, it has become quite confusing to know where and when to expect musical entertainment. On the middle Sunday, the music usually doesn’t start until after the open-air concert at the Bavaria statue.
