Formerly more of a dining tent than a beer tent, the Haxnbraterei is now also a conventional party tent.

The pork knuckle grill is the epicenter of the Hochreiter family’s Oktoberfest trinity consisting of the Haxnbraterei, Zur Bratwurst and Kalbsbraterei. The tent’s culinary focus on pork and veal knuckle is even older than the Haxenbraterei as it’s the immediate successor of the Haxnbauer tent.

Given its focus on culinary treats, owner Dieter Hochreiter always saw his tent more like a restaurant than a beer tent and therefore didn’t have any music. This changed a couple of years ago and the tents was transformed into a regular party tent. Now, the tent has two different bands daily starting at noon.
