Specialized on cheese and wine, the Feisinger hut has a niche on its own at the Oktoberfest.
Even though Oktoberfest has increasingly established itself as a beer festival over the past 200 years, wine is still served there. And not only in the wine tent, which is unsurprisingly the first place that comes to mind when thinking about wine, but also in the Feisinger family's cheese and wine bar, which has been open since 1977. What is unusual about the Feisingers is not only the wine bar, but also the small size of the restaurant, the existence of a wheat beer garden, and the rest of the menu. Of course, there are all kinds of different cheeses, but also raclette, tarte flambée, hot potatoes, and casseroles. Those who prefer something more traditional will be happy with Schupfnudeln (potato noodles) and Schweinswürstl (pork sausages).
Klaus Biedermann, alias Strawanzer, provides music daily from 1 p.m.
Those who can't get enough of the wine tavern during the rest of the year can also find the tent at the Auer Dult.
