With the Kalb Kettenflieger, Oide Wiesn has a real gem. The carousel has been in the family since it was built in 1919 and still has a significant number of original parts over 100 years later. Although it was set up at the Auer Dult in the same year, it had to wait until 1921 for its Oktoberfest premiere. Due to the poor economic situation after the end of the First World War, only substitute fall festivals were held at first. As there is no other ride with such a complete Oktoberfest history as the Kettenflieger, it is all the more regrettable that it has not been at the real Wiesn since 2011, but only at the Oide Wiesn.
