After the city council revoked last year’s decision to leave the last day of Oktoberfest free from table reservations, some tents are now taking reservations.
Last year, Munich’s city council decided to make the last day of the 184th Oktoberfest reservation free, in order to enable the citizens of Munich to spontaneously visit the beer tents. The tents’ hosts, who are of course interested in collecting the minimum turnover, you have to pay for reservations, months in advance, managed to convince the councilors of taking that ruling back and eventually allowing reservations after all.
This is good news for non-regulars. The Hofbräuzelt and the Armbrustschützenzelt already started taking reservations from anyone interested.
